Stroud Farmers Market

Stroud Farmers' Market
Cornhill
Stroud
GL5 2HE
(Saturdays)

"There's a hint of Mike Leigh-style down-and-out urban realism to Stroud. It's gritty, arty, even a little bit dirty, and every Saturday it's teeming with one of the best farmers' markets anywhere. Damien Hirst and Cath Kidston are both regulars. Fresh, hot falafel (the smell is intoxicating) served in warm pitta bread with shredded lettuce makes the perfect breakfast. Gloucester Old Spot sausages, Hereford russet apples, the creamiest local cheeses and Thai snacks from Niang's… it's all here, everything you need to make your tastebuds spin." CNT

It was at one of these meals that the idea for Lola&Co arose. Offer our neighbours, friends and visitors of Tetbury a Spanish, Mediterranean, English product of the highest quality...It is those meals, those dinners that we live in the moment.. Food can bring people together in a way nothing else could, and this is the purpose of La Lola & Co."

"Imagine dropping a French bistro into the Cotswolds and you’ve got something a lot like Juliet. Combining a buzzy vibe with an enthusiastic and affable team, plus delightful dishes from beyond France’s borders, it’s easy to see why the place is so popular. The menu largely sticks to the classics, providing satisfying versions of time-honoured favourites; keep an eye on the dish of the day, for treats such as cavatelli with lamb ragù. If you’re celebrating, consider booking the private Piano Bar, where a live musician will soundtrack your evening."
